Sangha Yoga Studio is a unique space in downtown Kearney, Nebraska. The instructors take a loving approach to providing a relaxing and holistically rejuvenating experience that leave yogis feeling refreshed and renewed.

They are collectively creating space for a healthy sangha in the Kearney community and surrounding towns. The foundation of Sangha practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, they strive to promote an understanding of the interdependency of all these aspects in one's personal health and well being.

 

"Sangha" comes from the Sanskrit word meaning "community". I wanted to represent Sangha's strong sense of community with a circle. The mandala circle design that encompasses the "Sangha" implies that there is a balanced non-hierarchical unit of friends in this place. Sacred geometry is also used in this design to emphasize visual rhythm, mimicking the rhythm of the breath and movement created in a yoga practice. Lastly, the warm purple and the cool teal colors used echo the vibrant, harmonious space of the Sangha Yoga Studio.
