Branding

Trifesta is a fictional 3-day event that brings a diverse group of people together to experience and celebrate art, music and film. The magic takes place on the coast near Big Sur, California in early June. This festival changes the face of independent festival culture by fostering creativity through an eclectic lineup, a quaint campsite experience on the beach and a friendly crowd. It also places a major emphasis on sustainability. Dedicated to promoting environmentalism, this grassroots event pledges proceeds to organizations dedicated to protecting the Earth.

The festival features music acts representing a diverse array of genres. While music serves as the primary form of entertainment, the festival also includes works of independent storytellers in film and artists showing and selling their work. The promotional design echos this cultural medley. Catering to a constellation of arts, the designs represent the originality and eccentricity of the attendees. They promote a unique event that cultivates a rich experience for a diverse group of festival-goers.

The visual theme emulates the inspiring and revitalizing experience of a festival. The brand uses collage-like visuals to emphasize a dreamlike, subliminal experience that differs for each person. The visuals reflect this through a mix of image, composition, music and sound. Geometric shapes, photography, overlying figures and an informal layout are used consistently throughout the festival materials. The organized chaos and mixture of mediums symbolize the element of discovery that occurs at Trifesta.
